lag will be the death of cod

I have a neighbour around my ways that doesn't have their connection secure. It's also interesting seeing what people name their device. While doing a scan I came across a random one.

 

i tried to do that but the all had passwords

 

yeah have you noticed if the guy on the other team has the best connection the other team has the better connection and will trounce you, its just pure luck winning and what team you end up on

 

CoD has always been about the connection, nothing new. Its a bit better now on the Xbone with dedis, but someone, somewhere, will always be connected better than you, via better internet and/or being closer regionally to the dedi, its just internet gaming.

 

dedis? doesnt that depend on where you live, all i hear is people moaning they were ripped off because they made a big thing about dedis, is that the luck of the draw as well

 

^^Well, I guess living near one would be great as I doubt IW supplied enough dedis to cover the entire USA continent (or maybe they did?) but I doubt they have enough dedis out there to cover the entire world?

 

well obviously they will favour the usa even tho us europeans pay more the game, sincs the big update its been quite bad, black ops is so much more smoother and a little less lag than ghosts for me anyway... then cod4, played more or less perfect, just made
a refreshing change...and full lobbies

 

Lag is not the issue in this game...They don't create huge amounts of fake lag like in treyarch games....People with very good internet connections are rewarded, not punished. I have an internet line specifically for gaming. I hard wire it into my console....Lag
is not an issue in ghosts. This game runs smooth as butter. TBH there is more lag in most if not all, other games. In most games you do not notice the lag because the games are clunkier, guns have more recoil and you have more health....so you often mistake
lag for other factors in those games. COD is so pin point/twitch dependent that you can tell if you are lagging tenths of a second.

 

^^Thats kinda what I was saying too. CoD is a connection based "twitch" shooter and someone will always be connected better than you. If they are not hosting now (because of dedis) they may live closer to/be connected better to that dedi than you and may
still have a small advantage, which equals a great advantage in a connection based twitch shooter. Thats online gaming.
