    Lack of error messages for "blocked" accounts


    Tried to log into multiple Microsoft run/associated websites. But it just wouldn't complete the log in process, sending me back to the log in screen time and time again, at best the url would tell me InternalServerError - Some exception happenen[sic]

    It didn't give me any useful messages until I tried to sign into the Minecraft Launcher and it told be my account was blocked due to one of a number of reasons(there was only a single reason listed) - there had been repeated log in attempts to my account. And that I HAD to change my password, despite no evidence that it had been compromised.

    I tried explaining this issue to an XBox support agent, but it seems they did not comprehend what I was trying to tell them, and they kept sending me links to help me unlock my account, despite me repeatedly telling them I already had regained access.

    Is there anywhere I can contact the developers responsible for the website/backend in an attempt to actually solve this issue permanently?

    Xbox Support would be the only way of speaking to them. Might be worth having another go to see if someone different will understand the issue.

    Unfortunately, like most companies, you are not going to be able to get hold of anyone who works on the website/backend. Just like with Xbox you can't talk to anyone in the enforcement team.

    Then please go to http://xbox.com/accounts and sign in there. If you get a message mentioning a Blocked account, follow the instructions there carefully.

    If you do not get a blocked account message, please describe in detail what happens when you try it on the console and on the web, including the exact error message especially including any eight-digit error message which begins
    with an '8'.
