Kingston 128GB Data traveler (DT100G3) capture

    Hi,

bought kingston datatraveler flash drive for capturing shots from xbox series x, formated it to ntfs but still getting 0x80bd003b error staying that drive is too slow and I should use 3.0 or faster.. as per kingston, this is an 3.1/3.0/2.0 usb.. what is
wrong? Is there any workaround for it?

    :)

    Hi,

There's no workaround for it, I'm afraid your drive just isn't quite fast enough. When retailers sell these things they generally tout the read speeds. The Data Traveller is capable of 100MB/s, but writing speeds are usually a lot slower than this, probably
    by a third.

Are you trying to record in 4K? That maybe your issue. Try 1080P 30 instead. Otherwise you'll need a better drive.

Yes, i was trying to change it even to 720p but still it's not accepting it as a storage. This is fine, looks like I was foolish enough to think that Kingston is brand good enough to trust that 3.0 is actually 3.0, but then i see another problem here -
how I'm supposed to know which drive will work and which not if usb 3.0 tag on the product is not enough to determine it? And on the other hand xbox is not informing me that there are any other minimal requirements to be met.. I believe it should be said clearly,
what is the required Read/write speed so user can check it before buying the storage.. I wasted some money and still I'm not sure if I will buy another flash i won't waste just a little bit more and end up with stack of useless pendrives laying next to my
    xsx:)

kingston data traveller memory stick, will it work?

Any USB stick can transfer data from one hardrive to the other, i remember transferring my resident evil 5 save from my old xbox to my new xbox.

Media player app not seeing files on USB flash

hi Furry Wall...to answer you last question, all my USB's are kingston data-travellers, except one which funny enough seems to work. the others not so much. i tried what you suugessted and initially i thought eureka it works, but when i added the other files
it stopped. all the other files are that same as the first, avi\mp4\mp3

    thanks
