    I just upgraded to the Xbox one s and discovered that my Kinects sensor doesn’t connect. I have multiple games that require kinects and my kids use it on a regular basis. I found a post that said Microsoft was sending out the adaptors for free but when
    I spoke with Microsoft online I was told they don’t do that anymore. He directed me to this forum stating that you may be able to help me.

    Is it possible to have an adaptor sent to me? My kids will hate me otherwise.

    Kinect Adaptor

    The kinect was a big push on the initial release of the first Xbox One but do to the lack of popularity, they discontinued the integration into later Xbox One consoles as well as the adapter.

    It may give you pause but its where technology goes when no one is interested in it...to the wayside. Every other company does the same thing.

    The option to receive one for free was a limited time promotion that ended earlier this year. You would have to purchase one if you need one.

    I don't work for Microsoft so I couldn't do anything. Forum support would not be able to provide a discount on an adapter.

    Xbox One Kinect working with Projectors and atypical Home Theatre setups...

    I have the same setup as you and with the current kinect i have a USB extension cable. It connects to the adaptor that Kinect comes with. It works well. I hope they include the USB adaptor with the new Kinect so my extension cable works. Its a good question
    tho. The adaptor was for older xboxes to connect to it, but I hope they have a solution.

    I think it's absolutely shocking Microsoft are not supplying XBOX ONE to XBOX ONE X gamers a free kinect adaptor, its disgrace borderline criminal.

    MICROSOFT FORCED EARLY ADAPTORS TO GET THE KINECT - its not the consumers fault the kinect failed so WHY are we being penalised.
