Discus and support Kinect Not Changing Channels in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Xbox Kinect hears my voice when I say " Xbox Watch CNN" I see microphone icon hearing my voice but it doesn't change the channel .     Kinect Not Changing Channels


    Xbox Kinect hears my voice when I say " Xbox Watch CNN" I see microphone icon hearing my voice but it doesn't change the channel .

    Tried rebooting the xbox and recalibrating Kinect same issues . Not sure if its Kinect or the console . Any suggestions ?

    The New media remote is an alternate for the Kinect

    The remote uses its signal sent TO the KINECT then uses the Kinect IR to change the channel or volume on your TV...

    Not sure about you.... but I have always used my OEM remote for changing the channels on the TV...just use the voice/kinect for pause, play rewind, mute and volumes...

    Xbox One does not communicate with Dish DVR VIP722K

    I don't have that receiver but I do have a Dish receiver and the Kinect is controlling everything including on/off and channel changing.

    One Guide won't change channels AT&T Uverse

    You can't change channels without the kinect or an IR cable. The kinect is what sends the IR signal to the box.

    The pass through is not enough!

    If you change the standard list of TV programs than it does not fit to the Xbox. Channel change needs a lot of time. If you e.g. change to a channel at position 100 Kinect send 1 0 0. This takes time. And you cannot simple switch up and down trough the channels.
    I need only aprox. 20 channels. But because of not changing the channel order (see above) some of them are at 300. Not acceptable!
