    Kinect adapter


    I purchased a Xbox one s for my daughter for Christmas with a Kinect. Much to my dismay on Christmas morning, I find that my brand new Xbox will not support the Kinect sensor. I then find out that through some searching online that an adapter is needed.
    Now this may have been public knowledge to many, but for a person like myself that doesn’t game, I had no idea! So ok, I’ll purchase one... nope! All out of stock everywhere, and people are selling them for 100 times what they retailed for. Microsoft needs
    to start selling these again, otherwise a lot of people from my reading will be out a lot of money. For a first time buyer I’m so unsatisfied with this purchase and wish I had know this would Been such an issue. Very very sad little girl, and a very very unsatisfied

    Hey there, I am sorry to hear about that. I agree I wish they were still being made as I love my Kinect with my Halo 5 Xbox One Console. The Ambassadors are letting the teams know that people want this adapter.

    There is a Kinect adapter you would need in order to use the Kinect. Unfortunately both the adapter and the Kinect have been discontinued so you would have to try checking places like ebay for the adapter.

    Kinect Support for XBox One X

    The Kinect will work on the Xbox One X. It just needs the adapter. Assuming it's the right adapter, then it should work fine with Kinect games and voice commands.

    The Kinect is definitely not built into the Xbox One S or X. That saleman was misinformed.

    It is possible to use all Xbox One consoles without connecting a Kinect Camera so no adapter would be required. However if you intend to use a Kinect camera with the Xbox One S then you will require an adapter please see details about the adapter below.
