Kinect adapter unvailable

Hello,

Former owner of a xbox one with a kinect, I bought a xbox onx x.

Since I can not use my kinect anymore. The adapter is unvailable on all store (online or not)

I realize that the promise of the compatibility of the accessories is not held.

What solution do you propose to me so that the promise of Microsoft is held?

Waiting is not a solution. We are at the limit of misleading advertising.

I am now in possession of a kinect of a 150€ value that I can not use.

Same. We just upgraded to the xBox One S. Nowhere did I see it packaged with a Kinect or read anywhere that the Kinect was incompatible. The Kinects appear to be getting phased out, as none of my local stores had any Kinects or adapters. I'm really disappointed
that this device and the games became obsolete so suddenly. There's no way I can justify paying half the price of the whole console for an adapter to make the Kinect work, one that should have been included. Our only option now seems to be to sell it and and
all of the games that go with it. I'm very unhappy with my purchasing decision and disappointed with MIcrosoft for the shady upgrade=obsolescent practices that's so prevalent with all the major tech companies. It shouldn't be this hard.

There is a Kinect adapter you would need in order to use the Kinect. Unfortunately both the adapter and the Kinect have been discontinued so you would have to try checking places like ebay for the adapter.

If you have not done so already please follow the attached guide for setting up the Kinect adapter please remember the adapter needs to be plugged into the USB socket marked as Kinect on the console.

The Kinect will work on the Xbox One X. It just needs the adapter. Assuming it's the right adapter, then it should work fine with Kinect games and voice commands.

The Kinect is definitely not built into the Xbox One S or X. That saleman was misinformed.

Hi

It is possible to use all Xbox One consoles without connecting a Kinect Camera so no adapter would be required. However if you intend to use a Kinect camera with the Xbox One S then you will require an adapter please see details about the adapter below.
