    Just adding mine to the many others **** about the lack of availability of the kinect adapter.

    Yes, I know MS has decided the kinect is not the future, but the kinect still has usefulness, even if not for games.

    At least give us the ability to add a USB microphone (not via a headset, thanks).

    MANY people with an xbox one and kinect decided to upgrade to the one s or one x this holiday season (one s is much more reasonable at $199), and now I find I can't get the adapter anymore unless I want to be robbed on ebay?

    How about making a few more for the new owners that have upgraded.... I'd be happy to pay the $40-$50 to get one from Microsoft.

    Once again, screwed by Microsoft's schizophrenic hardware decisions...

    - former band owner - loved it, best one out there (other than band breaking issue), but they dropped it

    - former lumia 950 owner - loved it, but couldn't make phone os work

    dear Microsoft team over the holidays I purchased an Xbox One X I've been an early adopter of the Xbox brand for a while and missed out on the opportunity to get an Xbox Kinect adapter when they were free. Fast-forwarding to today I've been trying to get
    an Xbox Kinect adapter for about 2 weeks now???? Microsoft website is saying out of stock Amazon is charging $200 eBay is charging 250 to $300 Microsoft can you please fix this problem because loyal fans of the Kinect would like to use it. Thank you for your
    time and may this find someone in the higher ranks Microsoft to fix this problem

    Hi, I am just wondering if Microsoft will be doing any type of promotion to get an adapter when u upgrade to the x. I would really like to keep using my Kinect, but after shelling out $500 I'm not going to pay another $40 for the adapter.

    As far as I know the Kinect adapter for the Xbox One S and One X has been discontinued along with the Kinect sensor..

    I did know that the One X lacked the kinect port when I preordered my One X.. but sadly I wrongly assumed that the adapter would be awailable after the release of the One X despite the termiation of the kinect sensor and decided to wait and see if M$ would
    give those of us that upgraded the same deal as the ones who upgraded to the One S.. but right now the adapter is only awailable for EBay an similar sites at what I call "blackmail" prices.. so unless M$ has a change og heart we seem to be stuck up a certain
    creek without a paddle :-(

    There is a USB 3.0 adapter for the kinect. They will have a free adapter program. Anyone with an existing kinect serial number can enter into a website for a free adapter if upgrading to a s model.

    You will need the adapter for the xbox kinect, I got mine free from support when i got the xbox one S, they might do the same thing again, not saying they will, just a guess. it was like a limited time upgrade offer.
