Kinect Adapter Promotion

I recently traded in my Day one system for the Xbox one s but have not had time to contact Microsoft about the promotion because we just had a baby. When I contacted them today they said the promotion just ended on the 31st of March.

I know it's a stretch but is there any way you can honor the promotion for the free Kinect adapter?

Xbox one x Kinect

Hi, I am just wondering if Microsoft will be doing any type of promotion to get an adapter when u upgrade to the x. I would really like to keep using my Kinect, but after shelling out $500 I'm not going to pay another $40 for the adapter.

Free Kinect Adapter?

Hello Everyone!

I was aware of a promotion that Microsoft had recently of receiving an free Kinect Adapter for those who upgraded from the original Xbox One to the "S" model. Honestly, I passed on the "S" model in favor of the then "Project Scorpio". Will the free adapter
promotion be extended to those who waited a little bit longer to get the Xbox One X?

The adapter offer was only eligible for owners of the original Xbox One and Kinect Sensor who purchased a new Xbox One S. The promotion

lasted from August 2016 to March 2017.

There's not much else to tell you, as there's no other way of getting this adapter to free. You missed out. Feel free to invest hundreds of dollars to switch platforms if you feel that is the right thing to do.

If it's any consolation, there are
few games available that utilize the Kinect anyway.

Unfortunately, Microsoft seems to be sold out of USB kinect adapters for the Xbox One S/X for quite some time. You'll have to see if any of your local retail stores sell it, or look online (Craigslist, Amazon, eBay, etc...).

They used to give out the adapters for free when the Xbox One S was first released in August 2016, but the offer has since expired. Another free promotion was not the case for the release of the Xbox One X.

If you want to use a Kinect sensor without an adapter, you will need to get the older original Xbox One, as it already has a Kinect port in the back.

I also want to use the Kinect V2 on an XBOX ONE X.

Unfortunately, even at 40 €, the kinect adapter is out of order.

Impossible to get it.

Second-hand sales sites offer them at very high prices from € 100 to over € 300.

Microsoft, have you thought of those who want to join XBOX One to One X and who could not take advantage of the adapter cable given to One S buyers ?

There is a Kinect adapter you would need in order to use the Kinect. Unfortunately both the adapter and the Kinect have been discontinued so you would have to try checking places like ebay for the adapter.

Kinect Adapter Promotion
