    Kinect adapter for use on new Xbox One C


    Hey Microsoft!

    Needed to add my voice to the many, many others posting here about the elusive Kinect adapter. As a long time Microsoft customer with 7 registered Xbox’s, 4 of which are One’s I am hugely disappointed at the lack of availability of the Kinect adapter. I
    am one of the early adopters that actually uses Cortana every day on my other LR Xbox One and use it for easy switching between apps and tv. The gouging online right now with second party sellers asking as much as $700 for an adapter is ridiculous. Please
    at least update us on when new stock will be available. Don’t let us down!

    Xbox one S requires 49.99 adapter for kinect.

    After reading this thread I learned that
    A- I'm apparently the only person that likes Kinect and uses Xbox fitness when I cant go to the gym
    B- New things cost money but a $50 adapter for an unpopular accessory will drop in price pretty fast in the secondary market
    C- If you already have a Kinect and an original Xbox One and have purchased a new Xbox One S you probably have enough money to buy that adapter but they are apparently giving it to you for free anyways.

    There was only one kind of USB Kinect adapter, and it was meant to be used on either the Xbox One S or Xbox One X.

    Microsoft has discontinued production on this adapter recently. There are no news of
    another adapter in the works, or restocks of the current one.

    If you wish to play Kinect games on your Xbox One S/X, you'll have to find an adapter from a third-party reseller, or use an original model Xbox One console.
