Kids controller starts to blink after being connected to PC, it tries to turn on my xbox...

Hello MichaelLiberty, try the steps below.

First turn off your Xbox One and also unplug it from the electrical outlet.

Then remove the batteries from the controller and for 1 minute keep pressing all the buttons on the controller and moving the controller knobs.

Once it's done, download the Xbox Accessories PC App and if you have a USB cable, connect the USB cable controller to your PC.

Put the batteries in the controller and see if the App recognizes the controller and check if it has updates.

Once updated, remove the USB cable and try to connect it via Bluetooth, after connecting via Bluetooth you can reconnect your console to the electrical outlet.

tried this but still no positive result i also want you to know that when i try turn on my xbox with controller it starts but the controller keep blinking and doesn't connect to the xbox .

I removed the HDD, turned it on and still had no connection to the TV. My HMDI sensor could not find a connection. I placed the HDD back inside and still the same issue. Thinking it had to do something with the video settings needing to be reset, I tried
to use the video/audio reset method.

Now, I don't seem like I can get the controller to connect with the Xbox as it continues to blink even after multiple attempts to Sync. I found a help-video on Youtube stating to turn off the TV before turning the Xbox on and went 1 step further and turned
off WiFi in the home, turned cell phone off to no avail...

There are times where I had the blue (working fine) light on my xbox for over an hour but no screen connection and the controller lights blinking. Then, when I would start turning off and turning it on I would go back to getting the single red light after
a few moments.

Again, this seemed to start after I updated my Xbox last week. I do remember it turning back on after the update was downloaded, seeing the first miliseconds of the Xbox Logo on screen then going blank or losing the connection as if the video/ audio were
reset on its own.

Summary: I fixed it by plugging USB cable into a controller and pc, win 10 recognized it, system restart was required and after that controller was working wirelessly also.

Longer description: I installed fresh windows 10, downloaded and installed all win updates, then I tried all these steps and at the end controller started working.

1) plugged wireless adapter into USB windows 10 recognized it but Xbox one controller won't connect (keep on blinking)

2) plugged wireless adapter into another USB port but Xbox one controller won't connect (keep on blinking)

3) plugged wireless adapter into another USB port started task manager removed Xbox one adapter, windows found it again but still noting (gamepad keep on blinking)

4) plugged wireless adapter into another USB port (front) started task manager removed Xbox one adapter and Xbox drivers, windows found it again installed it but still noting (gamepad keep on blinking)

5) FINALLY, I fixed it by plugging USB cable into a controller and pc, win 10 recognized it, system restart was required and after that controller was working wirelessly also.

I can't update the controller because it doesn't show up in the xbox accessories app. I also don't think the controller is damaged because I tried my Xbox One controller which was also working fine before my windows updated, and now it's having the exact same issue. When connected to my PC it just blinks for a while before turning off.
