    my boys mother brought them 2 gift cards which they thought they had used,now i ( there dad) have just had the money taken out my bank. Why has it done that?

    I’ve tried ringing Microsoft but been on hold for nearly an hour and then it cut off.

    To All those who have been hacked,

    LOL! Now THAT is hilarious. So what Microsoft is suggesting is that kids.. KIDS.. are one of the primary causes for them for this headache? Those young whipper-snappers I tell ya! We should ban all kids from this service I tell ya... nothin' but trouble!

    Most likely when they made their purchase they did not choose their Microsoft account balance as the payment method.

    When there are games that continue going when you're unable to play, having trusted friends able to help you out is necessary. No nefarious intentions there. There would be plenty of people that'd stop
    playing/buying those games if months or even years of hard work disappeared because they were absolutely unable to play for a week or two.

    I guess here's to hoping that there's a family setting in the future that allows shared games.
