Kicks me out of game and send me to Home Screen

I'm sorry to hear that you are having this problem with the game Fortnite, with the intention of helping you after doing some internet searches to gather information about it, I suggest you follow these steps:

The first thing we need to do is a power cycle with the console, it seems to be a fairly basic solution, but in some cases it can work.

1. Turn off the console by pressing the Xbox Button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it turns off completely.
2. Disconnect the power cable from the console. Wait ten seconds.
3. Plug the console power cable back in.
4. Press the Xbox Button on the console to turn it on again.

If these steps don't work, we'll try logging out of your Xbox profile and adding the account again.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.
3. Select the profile you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm the operation.

To add again:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select Profile & system > Add or change > Add new.
3. Enter the email address of the Microsoft account you want to add and select Sign in.

Note: Make sure you don't select Get a new account unless you want to create a new Microsoft account.

Try clearing your cache. Unplug the power brick from your Xbox One and hit the power button a few times, this will drain any energy left in the console. Wait for about 30 seconds, plug it back in, wait another 30 seconds or so, turn on your console. I know
it sounds odd but I was having a similar issue with a different game and doing this fixed the problem. Hope that helps

A hard reset could help maybe.

Hold down the power button until the console shuts down.

Unplug the power brick for 5 min and plug it back in.

That might solve the problem

A couple of questions...

Are you enrolled in the insider program?

Is this doing this to only on one game or all of them?

Are the games stored on the internal drive or do you use an external drive?
