Keyboard button mapping for PC will not work

No as that is a pc option

That's why you domt use.gaming mouse's on consoles

On the bright side if you wait till.next year a offical mouse and keyboard combo is going to.be sold by xbox

You can at a later point if you have a pc and an xbox.elite 2 controller map buttons from.your controller to keyboard but.that is in beta atm

you cannot map controller buttons to a keyboard regardless of the brand

Yes it's a shame we can't map all the extra buttons we get on a racing wheel when using it on consoles. I think the reason for this is due to the xbox controller only having a certain number of buttons hence why you can't map any of the extra buttons as
there are only so many axis/button inputs that will be recognised between controller and console.

There are games that allow you to use a keyboard that can be used as a 'Button Box' mod so you can map more buttons to functions (racing simulation games like Project CARS 2 offers plenty of options for button mapping and controller customization). I do realise
this is not the same as being able to map the extra buttons on a racing wheel but is still handy for this very reason. Here is an example of one clever way to map extra buttons without using a full qwerty keyboard:

Hopefully there will be some updates and changes to how we can have our racing wheels recognised by the console and be able to map all the buttons properly. Until then, the link to the example I posted above might be a temporary solution to the button mapping
issue.

So, you're saying the ability to map ads, prone, and fire to a single button wouldn't provide an advantage to the user? What's really interesting to me is why you wouldn't prefer a level playing field on the PC. Steam offers so much more to its player base
than Xbox Live... it's as if the PC community was just little too competitive for you, so you decided to bring your little crutch to consoles. Listen, if you really need a keyboard, mouse and the ability to map any combination of buttons you please to a single
button to compete in a FPS (as pathetic as it is), have at it!
