Keyboard and mouse usage in games

I don’t understand why xbox can’t have keyboard and mouse available to them in games like fortnite, and PlayStation can. If anyone has the rights to use keyboard and mouse, it should be xbox, because xbox and pc is made by the same company. I feel that certain
games like fortnite deserve to be played with keyboard and mouse on xbox.

Mouse and keyboard players

ban mouse and keyboards from being used on Xbox. They’re not designed or meant to be played on console and need to be blocked from usage.

Doesn't the PS3 have an official keyboard and mouse adapter thing? Or allow for MOuse/Keyboard in some games?

Different platforms...the Xbox console was designed for use with a controller not a mouse a keyboard where a PC was designed for those devices

At some point they may make that feature available but it's not a priority

The capability to enable KB+M input is currently available for all game developers of Xbox, but it is ultimately up to them in deciding whether or not to implement the support into their games.

The big caveat for multiplayer games is that KB+M input grants significantly better accuracy for aiming, which puts all controller users at an unfair disadvantage. This is the reason for all of the hesitation.

If you're looking to play Fortnite with a keyboard and mouse, you'll want to get in touch with Epic Games and see if they have any plans of adding that support in a future patch.

There are some limits depending on the game and even in the dashboard on how deep is the support for the keyboard and mouse. So it will vary depending on the app and your usage.

Maybe someone could give you more detailed help if you tell us where or in which app are you having this issue.

There are some games that are compatible with a mouse and keyboard. Not all games available on the Xbox are compatible with a mouse and keyboard.
