Keyboard acts weird after windows update in Fortnite

KB5031356 is just a security update, and it shouldn't normally affect your gaming experience. Moreover, this update was released on October 10th, so unless you haven't updated your Windows in a long time, it should already be installed. Your issue might be caused by other factors.

Have you updated your keyboard driver? Visit the manufacturer's website to download and install the appropriate driver.



Additionally, you can try performing a clean boot to troubleshoot the issue. A "clean boot" starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program. If your problem does not occur while the computer is in a clean boot environment, then you can determine which startup application or service is causing the problem by systematically turning them on or off and restarting the computer.

Also, temporarily disable your security software, especially if you've installed a third-party one. Some security software can interfere with games. Just remember to turn it on immediately, so that there won't be security threats.

Thanks for your post. If you're experiencing input lag from your mouse & keyboard to Fortnite, I'd recommend trying to use a different keyboard & mouse. Also, you may want to contact

Fortnite support, this could be an issue due to the newly implemented mouse & keyboard support, which could act abnormally at times and could just require an update to correct.

Xbox one acting weird after last console update can't do anything keeps locking up

Currently only Minecraft (without the "Xbox One Edition" in the title) is playable with keyboard and mouse.

All other games, including Fortnite do NOT work with Keyboard and Mouse on the Xbox One.

If you want to play Fortnite with Keyboard and Mouse, you can do that on a regular Windows PC.

Same with me. After the update and in case of split screen multiplayer the mobs starts to act weird (fly, go through walls, etc.)
