any idea why the Xbox one X doesnt support the Kensington Security lock? Its an extremely pricey console to not have a security feature. I am a college student, living with college students, people come and go, i have my new Xbox one X Project Scorpio taking
the place of my Xbox one S in the main living space, now, i dont really think i should since there to no security lock feature to prevent theft, is there any way to make that a feature for the Xbox one X? Its small, easy to steal compared to a 4K tv. Im sure
its even too late to ask if theres a way to install a Kensington security lock on the console as it is already built, bummer.

    :)

there's a lock on the back you can purchase a universal lock for, so you can have it locked down in your home, think of when you go to the bank and there's a pen on a metal string, and you can't remove then pen, the same with the Kensington lock on the back
of the console if you wanted it, so if someone broke into your house, they can't take the Xbox One away, but ironically they could remove the Kinect.

Thief: Dammit the Xbox One is locked down with a Kensington.

Thief2: Just remove the Kinect it's USB!

Thief: Hell no, it's always watching, besides I don't have my tinfoil hat.

Thief2: Damn you Kensingtonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn *cuts to scene where it zooms out one stage at a time on satellite from the neighbourhood, to the town, to the country, to the earth, to deep space* nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

Can I track down my stolen xbox one using the serial number?

On the back of the xbox one is a Kensington security slot. (Read the manual of the xbox one) and youse it.

So stupid.... Microsoft is so smart to put this slot on the back and people don't youse it if they go in Holliday. Stupid.

The Kensington security slot is a anti-theft system which involves a lock and a rubberized metal cable attached to the lock to ensure that no one is able to steal the electronic device.

    question about Xbox one

It's a Kensington lock slot. Used to lock the console up, typically with a light duty cable looped through a piece of furniture and then a lock that secures in the slot.

    Kensington Security Lock

Okay so students could lock it to the wall or something that you can´t move that easy.

I see this as something positive :)
