Keep manufacturing kinect

I would say Microsoft is NOT utterly phasing out Kinect just yet. Kinect still plays it's part in the Xbox family and brand. If it didn't, Microsoft wouldn't manufacture Kinect dongles for the Slim console. Some reasons why no Kinect port on the slim console
(1) keep costs down (2) size restrictions of the slim version console (3) several people don't use Kinect.

Stay away from EBay!!!!!! EBay Australia is selling the adapter for AU$500 which is a bad rip off! when Microsoft sold it for an RRP price of NZ$58.

Microsoft did not manufacture enough Kinect adapters!!!!!! They probably only manufactured like 1,000 of them, and then called it quits and stopped manufacturing, and selling both the Kinect and the adapter. Microsoft has killed Kinect! Pretty soon they'll
release a system update on Xbox One which doesn't support the Kinect, and then you won't be able to use it at all.... judging from the stance they took with this thingy.

I've had Kinect since November 2013. It was great. But I have adapted to how Microsoft is treating Kinect now, as I hardly use it's features now.

Remove Kinect and the entire console and controller cost around £80 to manufacture. Xboned.

Xbox 360's Kinect = Kinect v1.

Xbox 1's Kinect = Kinect v2.

Don't believe BestBuy employees who probably only earn minimum wage. THEY are NOT Microsoft. Microsoft has discontinued manufacturing Xbox 360 consoles. They wouldn't discontinue manufacturing Xbox 1 Kinects, yet! There is officially NO Xbox 1 version 2
Kinect. Read the start of my post. It provides a simple answer. People just add random stuff to the title of what they're selling and it can be easy for customers to get mislead by the title.

But why does not MS manufacture more? That they do not put in store I can understand, but that it is possible to order it would be normal. And there are not even third-party manufacturers that make it?

The dont manufacturer it anymore because the Kinect itself has also been discontinued
