Keep getting the message to sign in or renew the subscription, i have a disc in already

May I know if you tried to fully delete the game then insert the disc and install it again?

If yes and if the issue persists, what else did you tried so far?

Thanks but I have tried restarting and turning the console on and off at the mains numerous times and am still having the same problem. Earlier I had a new message appear which stated "sign in or renew the subscription. It looks like you are not signed in
as the subscription holder for this game. Sign in to Xbox live or renew the subscription in the Xbox store. (0x803f900a)" I am signed in to my account however no longer have Xbox live. But I should still be able to play the game as before, just not access
the online features

I'm starting to suspect at this point that there is a reading issue with the drive.

When you sign up for gold directly from Xbox it turns on auto-renewal (it does tell you this before you confirm the payment). In order to not do that, you would need to turn off auto-renewal before your subscription renews. Since auto-renewal was left on,
they already started your new subscription and have already attempted to charge you for it. After a few times, if they can't charge you, your account will be suspended.
