    Keep gettin "Out Of Video Memory" error message on my Xbone S


    Just downloaded the game "Control" onto my XBone S from game pass and after a while of playing i started randomly getting after an autosave i keep getting this game crashing
    error message that reads "Out Of Video Memory -
    CreateCommittedResource:
    due to lack of video memory" and i was wondering ¿if/how i could maybe get this error to stop/fix the underlying problem causing the game crashing error? cuz tbh im high key sick of fighting the
    s a m e boss/wave of enemies only to have my game crash as soon as i kill the last enemy and my game tries to autosave and crash before i reach/cleanse the next
    checkpoint /bonfire/
    fast travel point.

    Hey there Bigjewekz!

    It could be that your gamer profile might have become corrupted.

    Run a diagnostic test to make sure your console can connect properly to Xbox LIVE. Here's how!

    1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and then select System Settings.
    2. Select Network Settings.
    3. Select Wired Network if you are prompted to do so.
    4. Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

    If your Xbox can connect properly to LIVE, follow the steps up front.

    How to delete Xbox LIVE profile safely

    Before you delete your profile, you have to know the username and password for your Microsoft account that is associated with your profile.



    1. Go to Settings, and then select System.
    2. Select Storage.
    3. Select All Devices.
    4. Select Gamer Profiles.
    5. Select the gamertag that you want to delete.
    6. Select Delete.
    7. Select Delete Profile Only. This deletes the profile but leaves saved games and achievements.

    Clear Xbox system cache



    1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.
    2. Select Storage or Memory.
    3. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller.
    4. Select Clear System Cache.

    Restart your console.

    Download Xbox LIVE profile.

    1. Press the Xbox Guide button on your controller (large X button in the center of your controller).
    2. Select Download Profile.
    3. Enter the Microsoft account associated with your Xbox LIVE gamertag.
    4. Enter your Microsoft account password.
