    Just subscribed to xbox live gold but unable to play online


    I just subscribed to xbox live gold on the one dollar one month offer but I am unable to play online as the games tell me that I do not have it. Is there anyway to fix this?

    Thanks for checking, Gunnar. Are you subscribed to Xbox game pass Ultimate, or just Xbox Live? Ultimate game pass subscription includes Xbox live, and EA play. If you only have an active Xbox Live Gold, I am afraid you'll be unable to play the game.

    You still need a Xbox Live Gold account to play online, EA games or not. EA online pass codes are included in new EA games to allow you purchase extra online content, it doesn't allow you play online on Live without a Gold account.

    You will be able to enjoy all the offline content of your game and will be able to download other items from the in-game store. You will be unable to play multiplayer online game modes or use your downloaded content in online game modes.

    Xbox Live Gold is ONLY required for playing online Multiplayer, participating in parties and getting and playing the free Games with Gold games.

    If you purchased a game digitally, you can download that without a Gold membership. You'll just be unable to play the online multiplayer part (if the game has online Multiplayer).

    These two terms refer to the same service. If you want to play online i.e. multiplayer then you will need to subscribe to Xbox Live Gold.
