I'm sorry you are experiencing issues with your console.

Would you mind giving this a try?

• If there's a disc in the console eject it.
• On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds or until it turns off.
• Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Do not let go until the second beep occurs.

This should reset your console's display settings and make it boot in low-resolution mode.

If that doesn't work, could you try this instead?

• Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
• Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.
• Press and hold the BIND button and the EJECT button, and then press the Xbox button on the console.
• Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
• Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.
• The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

If the troubleshooting menu comes up and you'd like to perform a factory reset, select "Reset Xbox".

I have the xbox one x with a 4k tv it does take the 4k hdr pictures its just when they upload to my phone or twitter it looks like the sdr version and not 4k hdr

I've never seen a place to enter the model. It just goes to tv setup then I hit start and it displays "Looking for your TV picture..." but it never finds the picture. I then hit skip and I get a picture but can't use commands.

Yes you should. If set up properly the x combined with 4K is beautiful. Just do some research on 4K TVs to use with xbox x. I personally prefer to use a monitor over a TV for gaming.

Make sure which ever tv you get it is hdr compatible you will get the best picture possable when 4k is more openly available I own two lg 4k tvs the hdr ready tv picture is a hell of a lot better the the standard 4k tv
