    Just received a comms ban and I do not think it is correct.


    I just received a comms ban (only my third in over 6 years)

    This time it was because I wrote "little [mod removed]" to a particularly nasty gamer (I have far worse sent to me and misspelt which is never acted upon from the enforcement team such as" [mod removed]" etc)

    Normally I wouldn't question this in this fashion, but I am very disappointed with the lack of consistency of the enforcement team when administering actions.

    In the past month I been called [mod removed] numerous times from salty gamers, I have been accused of having Down syndrome! and other direct hateful insults. On every occasion I reported the messages and NO action has been taken at all.

    I'm a big boy and can take the insults and my own punishment if I believe that I am being treated fairly, but I am not and I suspect others are not too. So please revoke my ban or act upon the the messages that I have reported please (I still have them)

    Again, not all suspensions are instant. Just because some are and others aren't, it doesn't mean those people aren't getting suspended as well. It just takes longer for the enforcement team to investigate the issue.

    Like I said, I do not need my ban rescinded providing I have assurance that the enforcement team display consistency and I do not believe that they do. I have held my live account for years and have a regular group of gamer friends who have also shared this experience.

    The system is most certainly flawed as the word [mod removed] never invokes an enforcement message every time that I have reported it (which is numerous) as just one example. Call someone a [mod removed] and that's instant... say they have "Down syndrome" and again nothing. Either the team/the AI or both need to be more consistent

    The enforcement team do not use the forums. You would need to go to http://enforcement.xbox.com to see about submitting a case review; however, as profanity is not allowed, it's unlikely they will lift the suspension. The enforcement team most certainly take action on profanity even when it is purposely misspelt. It may just take longer for them to investigate.

    As far as other people you have reported, there's no way to know for sure when the enforcement team takes action. Occasionally they will send a thank you message, but not always. But as long as you have reported them, they will be investigated and the appropriate action will be taken.

    Sorry to hear you're upset. However, I can see that the system has corrected what you typed by replacing it with asterisks ****. This means the word is a banned word for which you could be suspended. Please be aware that words that are not allowed can result in suspensions or bans.     The two suspensions are not likely related. All complaints are investigated before being acted on. It is likely that you received the comm ban from one complaint, then received the account suspension for a completely different complaint. It takes time for
    the enforcement team to be certain that a complaint is correct.
