    Just purchased Witcher 2 for 360 off the windows store and getting error 0x803f8001 on xbox one


    Hopefully I can get some help and clarification about what the heck is going on here.

    I just purchased the digital copy of witcher 2 off of the Microsoft store under my account. The game shows up as ready to download on my xbox one. However, when I try to launch the game it gives me the following error:

    "Do you own this game or app? If you have a game disc.. yadayada - Error Code: 0x803f8001."

    I've tried resetting, hard restarts, clearing caches, full factory resets of the console (loosing all my downloads in the process), and yet this error keeps occurring.

    The troubleshooting guides on the internet don't do anything but suggest that I've stolen this game, somehow am not logged in to my account, or suggest doing the resets (which I have done to no avail).

    The game is listed under my purchase history and by every measure appears to be connected to my account.

    I have no idea why this error is occurring after a simple purchase, and I'm even more confused as to why there seems to be no clear solution online.

    Any assistance or insight would be appreciated.

    i just got Black Ops 1 for Xbox 360 on the Xbox Store, i can download it on Xbox One but cant start the game and got Error "0x803f8001", i have ni disk, i just bought it in Store.

    Can anyone help me?

    Actually it seems it's not just Portal. I'm getting the same error (error code 0x803f8001) on all Backward Compatible games on Xbox One at the moment.

    I redownloaded yet again along with my entire library (again) and the issue has seemed to resolve overnight.

    Codes for Halo Wars: Definitive Edition are no longer sent out for purchases of Halo Wars 2: Ultimate Edition. Now, anyone that purchases Halo Wars 2: Ultimate Edition digitally will automatically receive the game digitally. Try checking your Windows Store
    library (or your 'Ready to install' list on Xbox One) to see if the game shows up there! Be sure that you are signed into the account that originally redeemed the code, as well.

    To find your library on the Windows Store, click your profile picture in the upper left corner of the screen within the Windows Store. Keep us posted!
    I can see Halo Wars DE in my Windows Store library, however trying to install it gives an error once it tries to acquire a license (error code is 0x803F8001). I have already had a lengthy chat session with support over that error, and they said the error
    was due to my not having a license for Halo Wars DE, and that I had to come here to get the code for Halo Wars DE sent to me.
