Just purchased today, but second disc with DLC not working at all...

Hi guys,



So, I just bought this game (new as far as I can tell as everything inside is pristine) but the second disc which contains a lot (all?) of the DLC is not working. When I put it in it just goes to a black screen, you can hear the disc drive whirring but
not much else happens...



Please help, I've never had a problem like this before.

The migration process itself does actually warn you about that before you choose to complete the process. Ambassadors are only gamers like yourself. We are only volunteers and not official support. So unfortunately, there are some that may give the wrong
advice.

Could u give me an email and phone number at Microsoft to whom I call about a refund?!?

 

Be aware that technology isn't perfect and faulty discs happen, so I would take it back to the store and exchange it for another copy.

If the second copy does the exact same thing, then you may have a faulty hard drive in your console, and that's an expensive situation.

Well, I've had no other problems with discs so far and i just bought this 360 about six months ago, so I doubt it is a problem with the drive, especially considering many others have had a problem like this with RDR GOTY... I'll keep it in mind though.

 

Yeah. I would try trading it.

I can't say from personal experience with RDR though. All my extra content was downloaded from live.

 

Having same issue here, bought game from a friend and dont have receipt info to return the game, can i get Rockstar to send me another copy or something?

 

Nope, if you got it from a friend niether Rockstar or Microsoft is responsible for replacement.

It's up to you to buy a new copy if the one you have is not working. If your friend knew it was faulty, you should speak with him.

 

i had the same problem and it ended up being the eye on the disc drive was corroded with dust and other stuff so i opened it up, cleaned the eye thoroughly and i havnt had an issue since then, sometimes when they refurbish these xbox's they dont bother to
clean them they just fix whatever the usual problems are, and if the disc drive needs to be replaced they replace it with another refurbished drive not knowing that the refurbished drive is faulty to, i would try buying a cd cleaner that comes with a spray
or a gel to put on the disc and after inserting it with the cleaner on it it should clean the eye as well....hope this helps.
