Just need to vent about my Xbox Elite wireless controller

That adapter will WORK with the Elite controller.

When I got my Oculus Rift, the set included the older model of the Xbox Wireless USB Adapter with a Xbox controller, and my Elite Controller works on my Windows 10 PC with that adapter.

The newer version is simply a bit smaller.

So you do NOT need a special "Elite" wireless adapter (which doesn't exist).

If you're in the over 25 age group bracket, there's a healthy female gamer contingent over at 2old2play.com as well.

I find it great to see women taking such a passion in gaming. My girl friend plays by my side most of the time and I love every bit of it. I know there are a lot of women players out there as my clan has enlisted several great women over the last few weeks.
I think a lot of women still shy away from it cause of the stigma that women don't and shouldn't play games cause its a kids or mans thing. Don't let it get you down. There are women out there that feel the same as you do. It just takes time to find them.

You could start a little crusade on your own. I know its uncommon, but many people may have an interest in gaming, but they just don't know it.

Yes, it will be difficult to make your friends interested in AAA games, but social gaming, PC and smartphone games are there to help you out.

Try games like Dinner Dash, Tetris, Spelunky, or anything simple and entertaining; that should drive their interest in. And I know this cause I've seen this scenario far many times, just a few weeks ago, my girlfriend (another games enthusiast) managed to
make her 4 co-workers play Just Dance 3 on Kinect (even the girl who had a certain disdain toward videogames), and they had so much fun, that they are considering doing it a recurring thing.

They may never get into AAA gaming, but they will surely start understandig your talks. And believe me, the moment someone makes the jump and tell you to suggest a game, a console, or at least, something for their children to play with; recognizing that
they are trusting YOU to recommend something is one of the most awesome feelings a gamer could feel.

Just... don't go nuts if they pick up/enjoy a crappy game based on a movie or whatever... they'll get it sometime.

Same issues here.. most my friends are guys. In the US it was less bad, girl gamers aren't so uncommon, but after moving to France I just feel really weird.

The French population in general doesn't have too many gamers as it is. :/

PS: PMS Clan is still around (see my GT), not sure what happened exactly to GamerChix though. There used to be some icon for it on your GT (I had it on my account that is now silver), but haven't managed to get this GT added to it :/
