    Hi Folks ..

    When I loaded Forza 5 up earlier I received message ..

    Something about my save on the Cloud being older than was on my console and to choose either ..

    "This Xbox (Newer) " or Synch from Cloud ( Older )" ..

    I chose "newer" and all seems ok but just wondered if anyone else has ever received this? I've had "Synching With Cloud" a few times but never this with option to choose, just wondered if it's normal lol

    Microsoft should "fix" Cloud saves so that they sync without
    being required to play every single game that has a Cloud save associated with it. I've played Halo Anniversary and Saints Row The Third using Cloud Storage. Each one's saves were out of sync on the console I wasn't using because saves do not sync until you
    play the game associated with them. If your saves were on the old console and did not sync with Cloud Storage, you'll need to play the game again on the old console to force a sync.



    I stopped using Cloud storage and locally downloaded profiles on my various consoles and went back to keeping my saves and my profile on a USB Memory Unit. It's far faster and more predictable to move a USB MU from console to console than it is to run every
    game with a save file on each new console one uses.

    Why? HDD storage and Cloud Storage are two different things.

    To manually copy save game files via the data migration cable, attach the cable and drive, then cancel all the transfer dialogs. Go back into System Settings, Memory, and you'll see a Transfer Cable device. You can Copy/Move content to/from the Transfer
    Cable device just as you do with any other storage device. Manually copy over the files you want from the old HDD to the new HDD or to Cloud Storage.

    Cloud Saved Games - Sorry, cloud storage isn't available. Status code: 83860009

    Solution

    Copy to USB or HDD, load game and play. This will create a newer save game on USB. Exit to settings > storage and move save game from USB to Cloud Storage. Launch game, you should see Syncing cloud storage and then select Cloud storage. Game works fine now.

    Hi! Thanks for the reply, but that didnt fix it. Some games like Forza Horizon 4 ask me which save i want to load, but the game i have the problem with didnt and just loaded the older cloud save instead of the newer one. Its an xbox one game by the
    way, not 360.

    Yeah, usually i play on two different xboxes and i just have to chose which data load: the one from the console or the one from the cloud. Usually the console’s ones are ‘older’ and the cloud ones, ‘newer’ are recommended

    How can I get my forza 4 files back?

    None of this will help as the save has been over-written by a newer save. And that includes cloud save as they used the Xbox after PC so the Xbox would have synced with the cloud.
