I know but DS4Windows does not register my controller as connected. Works on my console but not the PC even though it worked before with NO PLUGINS OR APPLICATIONS.

That’s not possible except for Cloud Streaming. Steam Deck runs Linux, and the Xbox app doesn’t support PC streaming.

The wired 360 controller for Windows can be used on any game that supports gaming controllers, not just Games for Windows titles. Even if your PC game doesn't support a controller you can always use a third party app on your computer like Xpadder.

sony don't have open drivers for pc, you need a third party program called ds4 to use it, and it is finicky to work with gamepass games due to microsoft not supporting all controllers for windows store games.

ds4 maps the ps4 controller as a x-input controller to get it to work.
