    Just got the game pass for PC and I can't download any games


    When prompted to select a drive (I only have C drive) it says "cannot set your default installation location to that folder" no matter what folder I select. I've tried restarting, updating apps and drivers, changing security features... nothing seems to work. I've even tried to workaround I've seen people suggest and downloading the games right from the microsoft store, but clicking the download button does nothing.

    Xbox game pass on pc not launching some games

    I've got the same issue, but I cant even launch any games. I have game pass and at the top of the Xbox app, there's a link that redirects me to download an optional update for windows. But, on my pc I have no download optional updates in my settings so I can play the game pass I just paid for.

    I fixed it, I was downloading games to my D drive, downloading them to my C drive (where Windows is installed) works.

    Thanks, but when I try to get the app from the Microsoft Store it opens the Xbox app, and I already tried signing out and signing back in.

    Hello SamiMo1, have you checked if you have the latest version of Windows installed, at 21H2, because recently came out the latest update to Windows 10 and 11.

    Updates often seen as optional, Microsoft released major fixes this week, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed.

    If you haven't updated yet, click the link below, update and then make all subsequent security updates.

    Also make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store.

    Hi SamiMo1!! You should try this out with the Microsoft Store instead of the XBOX App as it can sometimes glitch out. If it does not work then you should try signing out and then signing in again into your Microsoft Account.
