i have only one spare battery left now (i bought 4), a CR-2032 buttoncell battery. i used 3 yesterday to replace old ones in 3 of my desktops. now the xbox one. i have it since 2015, never opened it ever. do i need to replace its battery ? and if so what type is it ? is it a CR-2032 battery ? or does it have a rechargable one ? ...or none (idk) ?? also, is it reccommended to open an xbox one ? warranty is years past void.

Games are crashing after a power failure. (Solved)

I found the fix, I had to reset the BIOS by pressing the Reset CMOS button. After I did that and reset some settings, the games stop crashing. I have no idea why, but it was something that crossed my mind.
Glad you have finally resolved it!

The one thing I almost always forget is resetting the CMOS....such a simple thing yet amazing how many issues it can fix.

Removing or resetting the CMOS basically resets your BIOS back to it's default state...as you mentioned needing to fiddle with BIOS in the past then it sounds like the BIOS had an issue

This forum thread from elsewhere covers it if you are interested to know more about it:

Games are crashing after a power failure. (Solved)

Update on the problem: I have figured out why I have to reset the CMOS every time there is a power failure, the CMOS battery needed to be replaced, since it is the same battery from 2017, and it was on it's way out, which it wasn't suppling enough power, and causes it to corrupt the CMOS

My Xbox 360 will not keep the correct time and date

Just confirming that it's not possible. For whatever reason the CMOS battery doesn't store date and time settings and the OS relies solely on a time server.

my xbox does not turn on

It's quite possible that the console might be completely dead. There was a known issue a few years ago regarding the CMOS battery. If that leaked everywhere, then unfortunately your console might be beyond repair. I'm in the same boat with my original
    Xbox console, it's gone :'(
