just brought mine craft for windows 10 from Microsoft store it will not launch

Error code (-2015294512) usually indicates that there is a problem with the app's installation or update. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:





1. Make sure that your Windows 10 is up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates to see if any updates are available including optional updates for your device.

• Once the updates have downloaded, select Install now to start the installation.
  
• Following installation, we recommend that you restart your device so that the latest updates can take effect.
  

2. Try resetting the app. Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features, find Minecraft for Windows 10, click on it, and select Advanced options. Then click on Reset.

3. Make sure Xbox app is up to date.

• Press the Start button on the taskbar, type store, and open the Microsoft Store app.
  
• Select Library.
  
• Under Updates & downloads, check if there is any updates available for the Xbox app. If an update is available, select Update.
  

4. Make sure you are signed in to the Xbox app and the Store with the same account.

> To make sure your permissions for the game can be validated, be sure to sign in to both the Store and the Xbox app using the same account that was used to purchase the game.

5. Repair the game

• Open the Xbox app for Windows.
  
• In My Library, select the game title.
  
• Select the More options (…) button and choose Manage.
  
• Select Files and then Verify and repair.
  

6. Uninstall and reinstall Gaming Services

• Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.
  
• In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:
  get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
  
• In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:
  start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
  
• Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
  
• Restart your device and try to install the game again.
  

3. Uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features, find Minecraft for Windows 10, click on it, and select Uninstall. Then go to the Microsoft Store and reinstall the app.

Tezzarrific is correct The Java edition and windows 10 version of minecraft are two separate games also they are both running on different updates most java and bedrock editions of mine craft have already been launched into 16.0 Patch Windows 10 edition
"Xbox/PC Controller Compatible Version" are still stuck in 14.6 patch. But I could recommend upgrading to the Ultimate Game Pass and get the Microsoft Windows 10 version free with Game Pass.

Hi, there is an option similar to the home xbox on windows 10, but it's not from the Xbox app, it's in the Microsoft store app. To set it, launch the Microsoft store app, then goto settings - then find offline permissions and turn it on.
