Unfortunately, the USB-C Charge and Play Kit does not have a physical indicator that would tell you when it's done charging. The only way to see its battery level is by looking at the top right corner of your console's dashboard or by opening the Accessories App and selecting the [ ... ] icon.

Probable answer: Except for Official Licenced recharge kits, Microsoft newest products are likely programmed to not like standard off the shelf rechargable batteries.

Have you any way of conducting a drain test on the batteries? Or, possibly put in a New set of rechargables and see if that works. If it does then your old batteries are getting weak (Drain fast) even when fully charged.

Other than that. I haven't a clue!

edit : apparently u used sony rechargeables batteries, but i have like 5 or 6 official Microsoft battery packs , each last for like 50 hours of gameplay, and i often have this problem when they are fully charged... so it's not like they were empty u understand
