    Just a suggestion, what if Xbox had a “Build Lab” like Design Lab, but for their next gen...


    So Xbox has the Design Lab for controllers, where you can customize colors and styles. What if they expanded that idea into the actual "console" hardware?

    Imagine an Xbox Build Lab where players could:

    • Pick specs that fit their style—more storage if you’re all-digital, stronger graphics if you want performance, or just stick to a base model if you want something simple and affordable.
    • Customize the look of the console too, with different colors, patterns, or even limited-edition art available through the Xbox Store. Basically, like buying digital themes, but physical for your console.

    I think this could:

    • Keep Xbox competitive with PC gaming while staying console-friendly.
    • Let players build a system that really matches their needs.
    • Open up a whole new way for Xbox to make personalization part of the hardware itself.

    People I've mentioned this to said it could work, but I understand it would be a lot of work on Microsoft's part... Where would I be able to pitch this idea?

    Thanks for reaching out to Xbox forums support.

    I understand that you're having disconnecting issues with you Design Labs controller.

    It sounds like you've already tried some of the trouble shooting steps that I was going to suggest.

    The fact that only your Design Labs controller is having issues and not your other controllers rules out the possibility

    of it being a wireless interference problem. Here are a couple of links that should help:

    If you continue to have issues with the DL controller I would suggest setting up a repair order if it's still under warranty.

    It will take a little while because the fact that it is a custom Design Labs controller like you mentioned, so the sooner you send it off,

    the better.
