Just a little moan.. Otherwise i am happy

My first moan about things,

First Fifa 14 that sucks kept crashing and was unplayable, traded in and got Black flag.

Second: I wanted to get smartglass for my PC but won't download because I don't have windows 8, I tried windows 8 on my step fathers laptop, no thanks I rather shoot my self and upgrade my windows 7 to 8. Guess I just have to use it on my iphone .



Other than that I am loving my XB1 and can't wait for some new games to come out, just avoiding EA products at the moment which is a shame as I want Dragon Age 3 when it comes out this year.

While I'm not a fan of Windows 8, I think I would take it over a bullet to the head. FIFA 14 and the crashing sucks, it did that for me awhile back. Simple fix = Unplug the power brick from the Xbox One forcing a hard reboot... load up FIFA afterwards...

That sucks that you can't have smartglass just because you're using Windows 7 instead of 8, especially as it hasn't been out long enough to be on everybody's PC either. I guess they'd burn me at the stake as a Mac user if that's how they're treating their
less up-to-date customers.

 

To perfectly honest I thought smartglass was only on smartphones. I don't have windows 8 either. But I can't really see myself using it on a pc anyway.

 

i got a copy of Win8.1 for my laptop, and i regret it now, Win8.1 was clearly designed with a touchscreen in mind and my laptop doesn't have a touchscreen(didn't want one at the time). now i'm just hopping they will release an update that will make it less
stupid, but i have a feeling i'm going back to Linux.

 

I can't see it really being useful from a PC either. I just like to use it as a remote to save me constantly turning the controller on just to play the next episode or pause so I can go get a drink.

I don't want to start a Windows vs Mac vs Linux argument but this is exactly why I'm so much happier now that I've made the move to Apple. They're not trying to push the touch screen market and I'm sure when they do introduce one they'll keep it easy for
people who want to touch and people who just want to use it as a conventional PC.

In some ways, voice controls and touch screens are great, especially on smartphones if you happen to be driving or the controls you need are varying between apps. When it comes to consoles and PCs though, they're the plague of this generation. Too many companies
are trying to force them (especially Microsoft) and not allowing people who prefer a hard control to have what they want.
