Just a few hours ago, once again a player threatened me with my ip address

This isn't the first time that someone has gotten too heated in a game and tries to act like they have power by telling me my ip address and saying my location which they never get it right of course, I just say "How did you find my location!?" and act scared because its honestly funny to see people do this but anyways i am tired of it and i have the user who has repeatedly done it. I have reported multiple ways but none of them seem to have worked so I am trying one last time on here. Here is the person who was threatening me and one other person. Microsoft I know there isn't much you can do about this problem but if there is something you can do, I would feel better.

There are sites out there that allow you to enter a Gamertag and get the IP Address of the player.

XBox Live often sets up direct connections between players with one player's system being the host. Because of that, all Xboxes involved send IP Addresses with the packets while playing a game and all players will get those packets. A person can use various tools to get a list of IP Addresses from those packets.

they are public addresses anyway, you can get an ip without special tools. it's just there are those daft morons that like to play god and do something stupid.

microsoft could mitigate the issue by stepping up the transfer of party chat to server based then all ip addresses would be masked, but that does not help when you play P2P online games which there are a lot of them still. having dedicated servers for all games would be the only solution and that i'm afraid won't happen as smaller game companies cannot afford to pay for the servers, as most if not all third party publishers and devs pay for the servers for their games be it dedicated or P2P.

I have yet to run into an issue with someone telling me my IP address but always get messages from others who can not take a loss. There are a few options you can take and I am not sure how many you have already done but check out https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/family-online-safety/enforcement/file-a-complaint . This goes over all options available to you and details what Microsoft will do. Other than that I typically just ignore all messages and their pathetic attempt at verbal abuse.
