June EA Sale

Back in June there was a short sale for some EA games with Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline for just $4.50 each. I bought both BF4 and BFH and downloaded the games. I played both games after they were ready and then I kind of forgot about them.
Just last week I tried starting BF4 and I got an error claiming I was not the subscription holder or that I needed to renew my subscription with the error 0x803f900a (There is almost no info for that error code). I found a post online and decided to contact
Xbox support to try and do what they did (Here is the link
https://forums.xbox.com/xbox_support/xbox_error_codes/f/4753/t/2195148.aspx). So after much troubleshooting we found out that BF4 is not in my billing history for Xbox and is nowhere in my bank statements; no charge and no refund - which is weird because
I got to download the game and play it on the day I thought that I "purchased" it. I'm guessing there was some sort of payment error between my bank and Microsoft where the money didn't actually go through so my game license was taken away some point after
I had played the game. Over time when the Xbox Gold deals had the BF4 DLC available for free I downloaded those but never played the game. At this point I have BF4 downloaded with DLC but no ability to play it. I was told to post here from the person I
was in chat with. I was charged $4.94 after tax for BFH and I'd be willing to be charged that amount for BF4 again.

Around that same time, there qeere free play days for Battlefield, so it is possible you downloaded and played it at that time, but didn't actually purchase it. Unfortunately, there is no way to receive a promotional price for a game after the promotion
ends u less it goes on sale again. You'll want to keep an eye on majornelson.com for news about sales.
