Short answer no, IF THE CONSOLE IS CONNECTED TO THE INTERNETno progress or purchase
data will be lost, what we accomplish by doing these steps would be to resync the game to the cloud getting rid of any corruption as a byproduct.

The only case where XBL would be needed would be through a Xbox 360.

We hope this clarifies this issue but let us know so we can get it resolved.

Well, if it seems to be the game itself and the previously posted troubleshooting steps don't help, then it might help to get with the developer about this. Whenever you get e chance, try and contact them via
Activision support
and see if they have some insight as to what's going on with the game.

Well, you can also try what we call a soft reset of the console.

It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.

Also make sure that you select the option denoted
reset and keep my games
&
apps.

If that doesn't work, then I guess you can totally try and get the game replaced.
