    Joining the Omega preview does nothing


    Yesterday I joined the Omega preview, and it said it may take up to 2 hours to activate. It has been over 24 hours and nothing has happened yet. What is going on?

    The Insider update should’ve improved the performance, so it’s strange that it hasn’t made any difference. If you joined the Omega preview, this is the most recent update (it’s possible that it installed automatically by itself if the option to keep your console up to date is enabled):

    4K HDR Bluray needs patch for Xbox One X (greyish image and black bars on 2.40:1 films)

    I’m on the Omega Preview ring (omega is issued updates very soon before they hit general public and is easy for anyone to join). I received an update last night and it appears all HDR Black levels are fixed for Blu-Ray, Amazon HDR, etc. However that pesky
    Netflix “always-on” HDR issue still persists, but that’s a different story. So if it hasn’t already I would think this should be pushed out to public very soon!
    YES! I'm also in Omega and I'm seeing the fixes too. Glad they got this take care fo relatively quickly.
