Joining a Party while in a game session.

Since the Dash Board for XBOX ONE has taken on the Windows 10 format, when I am in a game and a friend invites me to join a Party using the XBOX HOME button to join always takes me to the home screen. I have not been able to successfully join a party without
snapping the Party app or going to the HOME screen. Is this expected behavior? It is horrible when your in Halo 5 FREE-FOR-ALL with 7 enemies waiting to capitalize on your death and you have to take time to join a Party. Thanks for your input on the issue

Is there a setting to stop people joining my sessions

Hi, I have encountered a problem a few times while playing a multiplayer game, where someone on my friends list is joining session off me in order to get on the opposite team to ruin my game play (and because I refused to invite them to my game when I wished
to play on my own for a change).

Is there a way to stop people from session joining me, whilst still being able to actively invite them to a party and have them join me as and when I desire?

The setting "Join Multiplayer Games" just says that i can "Decide to allow or block joining Multiplayer games on xbox live" but I am unsure if that will block them joining off of MY invite, or just block the session joining.

Can someone clarify this for me please because this person who keeps session joining when I decline their game invites and so on, is pretty much making me want to stop playing multiplayer all together.

Nah, it should be working as before. Just make sure that when you get invited, you hold the xbox guide button down when the invite is still on the screen, and it should put you straight into the party
