    Joinable games show up but aren't joinable.


    I use the XBOX app on my gaming pc to connect with my family's console ARK servers, but the last month or so the icon shows they're in a joinable game but the option to join isn't highlighted or clickable. Only way I can get into the server is if someone already inside invites me. So far I've checked for updates on ARK, the XBOX app, and my pc, and can't find anything that needs updating on any of them. Does anyone know if this is a known problem or if there's a solution I'm overlooking?

    try pressing select on your controller and changing your party options to "Joinable public" or "Joinable Friends"

    Yuh i noticed random names popping up in the games joinable box.

    Hmm. Strange. Perhaps the lobby slots are full, but I doubt that. Perhaps your friend has invite only set, but somehow it shows up as a joinable session on your side. But that shouldn't be showing up as joinable.

    Most likely it must be a random connection issue between you and your friend if you get randomly disconnected and can't join sessions in progress in any games.

    You should try retesting your xbox live connection in the system menu. If that doesn't help, it must be a problem beyond the scope of the xbox itself.

    Does Minecraft now require an Xbox Gold subscription for LAN play?

    It does, now. As of 12/19/23, the LAN shows up in my Friends tab, yet it doesn't display any joinable worlds. This indicates Microsoft is paywalling without telling us.
