    “Join Game” launches a different game


    Hello! So a weird thing has been occurring on my friend’s Xbox for the past couple months. Basically, whenever anybody, and I do mean anybody, even random people not on his friends list, presses the “Join Game” option on his profile,
    it launches Halo 5 Guardians. We have literally no idea why this has been happening and it’s pretty annoying. Any advice would be fantastic, thanks!

    Try using a different profile to launch the games and see if they still crash.

    Anyone else counting down the days til Xboxmas?

    I got mine at launch but its wrapped up for xmas so I'm on countdown! I will hopefully be joining in any game nights on here for forza and fifa if they are still going at xmas “Join Game” launches a different game :)

    Unless 500,000 people report the same issue, Its a local issue. Local as in 'Your xbox'. Itseems to be a profile issue. Remove all profiles (You will need email and password to re-install) and the power down (unplug) for 3 mins. Restart and download profile.

    Listed steps did not solve issue. Upon attempting to join through other devices (Phone, PC), there was no option to join. Others were able to join, so if the issue pushes past the console itself, this is a Microsoft issue with reports of the same issue from years ago and no resolutions. Hoping Microsoft fixes this.

    Sorry to hear it. This is an error with joining the groups in the game. Please create or sign in with a different gamertag and launch the game. Then load in your character. After that leave the group and you should be good to go again

    Hello,

    Are you talking about this Windows shortcut? I believe the new Fullscreen shortcut may be F11? Let me know if that works for you. I use F11 to switch between Fullscreen and Windowed Minecraft. I am not entirely sure if it works across the operating system.

    unfortunately the Game bar is a social app and cannot be used to launch game (except when you select ''join game'' to join a friend in a game you both share)
