Dreamcast launch was so awesome, I loved that console. This one ain't that bad guys, I understand and relate to the gripes, but it's what we sign on for as early adapters to almost any new tech. MS made a lot of changes in a pretty short time leading up
to this one too.

I keep seeing the "early adopter" term thrown around and we aren't. We are consumers that purchased a finished product.

I've never heard that term used regarding gaming consoles. It's normally used in industries where you are testing new tech long before the general public has even heard of it let alone be able to purchase it. It is also normally provided at a reduced price
and very attentive support to deal with any issues. You're basically testing a new tech for a company and the reduced price and better support are provided to offset the risk.

The Xbox One was sold retail, no price break for any of us who purchased at launch and no one from Microsoft has shown up at my door to fix my laggy UI.

I don't know about anyone else but I certainly didn't spend 600 bucks to be a beta tester or early adopter.

This particular thing happens because it can take up to two hours for the servers to update the xbox with the correct information.

Just test your xbox live connection, sign back in and then you should be showing gold on the console.
