    Java and Bedrock Edition for PC


    After having already purchased java minecraft and merging with a MSA, I wanted to play the newly offered Java and Bedrock edition on PC for those who already own one version. When I try to install or launch this new edition either via xbox game pass or the microsoft store, the minecraft launcher briefly shows the thumbnail and picture art for Java and Bedrock Edition, but then switches to just Java version. Any help is appreciated.

    No, you needed to have owned bedrock edition or java edition on PC to get one either. Java edition is only available on PC too.

    if you own the java edition then you would need to but the bedrock edition on console, java edition id pc only, but you would need to buy the bedrock edition for each platform you want it on.

    Hi Victor. I don’t know how you played Java in the past. Maybe it was via game pass.
    But if the game doesn’t appear purchased in your order history, it means that you don’t know it.

    About the Xbox edition, yes. It’s bedrock, but it’s the Bedrock for Xbox, not Windows

    The free Java edition was granted to the people who purchased Bedrock for windows.
    Any other platform is not eligible, only PC (and the opposite if you owned Java)
