Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Kindly try resetting the console keeping your games and apps by following the steps below:

Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Make sure to follow the steps accordingly to access it:

1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.

2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

4. Press and hold the Pair button and the Eject button, and then press the Xbox button on the console.

5. Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.

6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.

When the console powers up, you will see the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. Please click on "Reset this Xbox" then "Reset and keep my games and apps".

I'm having the same issue. I've tried all the different methods that have been mentioned in this forum trying to fix the problem. I just thought I would post to keep this thread going and keep this problem escalated.

So you are having issues on the tv not displaying the wrong settings or is there any thing else like you are mentioning sound through audio so do have to ask if there is a sound system or what issues are you having? Is it both video and audio or Just video.
I could be misreading it but can only try to assist you with a few different set ups that could assist helping it on the sound side of things, The Video side of things I can mention a few others.

I'm having the same issue. I've tried other people's accounts on my Xbox, and theirs works fine. I've also tried signing in on a different console, but after a few seconds, it shuts down as well. This has been happening since the new update.

I tried a few other things.. Same steps Backcountry mention above but different order. Still not working. I'm either switching my ISP or taking this XBOX back on monday.. I'll just keep playing XBOX 360 multiplayer which works fine BTW...
