I’ve suddenly lost sound on Xbox one s.

Michael, for sound to come out on the TV, you must unplug the headset.

From there, configure it like this

Press the Xbox  button to open the dashboard and select System > Settings > General > Volume & Audio Out.

Select Chat Mixer, then choose one of the options.

set noise to 50%

Audio format choose Stereo Not supported

And chat output put speaker and headset

We had the same problem, no sound from xbox, nor our headsets ,we checked all cables, we thought xbox had broken, so we borrowed a xbox and that did not work no sound, which we knew did work because it was our daughter's. It was our TV we done a factory reset on TV, and bobs your uncle our xbox sound was back, worth a try if you suddenly loose sound on your xbox. Don't forget to pair your sound bar etc to your TV again.

I have this issue with the Series S and Samsung TV. I’ve had the TV disconnected from the internet to stop ads, only reconnected it recently and since then I’ve started having the sound issues with the Xbox.

Im having sort of the smae problem with my Xbox One S. I was playing a game on my xbox and suddenly it shuts down for no reason and lost all my progress. It did a complete shut down. And it has already been to to microsoft for an internet problem and all
they did was factory reset it like they were talking about the Xbox One X
