I’ve gotten an email from what appears to be a support number and I’m wondering if it’s valid

If that number is a phone number, then it's a phishing mail.

If it's a case number, then you should know why you get such a number.

To be sure you could go to the Microsoft contact us site to contact the support.

Hey, I’ve had a similar problem with my Xbox. When I tried logging in one day an unknown email was present on the account that I’ve used for years. I’ve submitted an account recovery form to try and get this unknown email off of my account, but I haven’t gotten a response from the Microsoft team in 5 days. I’m wondering if it is even possible to remove someone else’s email from your account or is there nothing I can do?

I’ve sent the email from several different addresses and have still not received a response containing the list. I don’t

understand what else I’m supposed to do. I was getting an error code a few days ago saying the email address wasn’t valid but now it seems like it’s sending but I just don’t receive a response. I’ve called Xbox support and they’re at a loss too. Is the system just not functional or what’s going on?

Yes they’re registered, it’s a total of 4 controllers all drift after 6 months. I’m aware all are out of warranty, but I’ve contacted the customer support, I’ve gotten 4 different answers on processes and all reps have stated I’d be receiving an email in 72 hours with information and options. This is the reason for my question on how to escalate, I’m simply seeking to have a follow up on the initial inquiry and response. The follow up on this from those I’ve spoken with has been non existent.

I’ve already waited 2 days. This is very poor from MS as they appear to have switched off their support. I’m now left with a broken controller that’s in warranty but I’m unable to claim on the warranty.

Terrible customer service.
