ive got a wired controller and when i put my mic in people in my party can hear a buzzing sound

I always prefer the wireless controllers. Never had any problem with them.

The buzzing Sound in the party on a wired controller sounds like a general issue with the party chat and a wired connection. Had a play and charge kit once. That buzzing sound happened to me too, when it was charging while i was playing an in a party.

Hello, so I got a problem with using a mic on my Xbox One X.

My friend told he'd always hear a buzzing noise when I'd talk in Party Chat.

Connecting the controllers with a USB cable to my console only enhances the buzzing noise, and makes it almost unbearable for my Chat members.

Is your controller powered via an USB power supply during that time?

My friends also sometimes complain about a buzzing sound when I'm charging my controller via USB. Also, another friend produces buzzing when he charges his controller via USB.

So it's probably not your Y cable or microphone, as the original Xbox chat headset also buzzes, when the controller charges via USB.

However, when I remove the USB charging cable, the buzzing stops.

So if you still have a buzzing sound, do you have to power the microphone?

My controller is powered by AA batteries. When I plug in the USB cable, the buzzing gets way worse. So not using the USB connection does improve it, but it's not gone entirely.

My mic's do not have external power supply, I just plug them in the Y cable.

i just got this today, it was working fine in chat a couple minutes ago, then i muted my mic for a while ( little brother in background wouldnt shut up, and the party didn't want to hear it) and then my friend started calling my name, i turn my mic
on, and talk. he keeps calling my name, it shows my mic's plugged in but he cant hear me.

if i push the wire inwards towards the controller extremely hard my mic can be heard for a few seconds but thats all, the wire cant be broken because i still hear them through the headset

i dont feel like replacing the console as this is new (just got it this christmas) and i already have all my stuff downloaded onto it, if anyone finds a fix for this please let me know

although when i DO unplug the mic, it registers it as unplugged and plays sound through the tv, and the mute light works, and it beeps when putting it to max volume
