I've bought some games & my xbox one x isn't reading the game disc's at all..what do I do?

If this s happening with multiple game discs the issue can be with the disc drive itself. Please follow the steps below:

According to Xbox support:

"If you use Sleep mode, change to Shut-down (energy saving) mode and power cycle the console"

Here you go:

"1. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Power options.

2. Select Shut-down (energy saving) mode.

3. Perform a hard power cycle by holding down the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds. Once the console has completely shut down, press the Xbox button on the console again to restart it.

4. Try your disc again. Wait a few seconds to see if the console recognizes it. If the console can now read the disc, you can revert to Sleep mode."

There seems to be a problem with some xbox one X and these cross gen discs. If you believe what you read.

Surprise surprise.

My call of duty Infinite warfare gaming disc isn't being read by my xbox one console anymore. I did delete an account tho achievements and progress for my 2 other accounts are still saved. I've had this game for years, no scratches so that's not an issue. Modern warfare isn't reading either. These are the only 2. Is anyone having the same issue? Or what can I do besides the basic troubleshooting?

I have the same issue just with my xbox x. My cousin Gifted me Call of duty 4 modern warfare legacy edition which includes infinity warfare. now this is for xbox 1 and I don't have one for series x. and cod 4 still works but when I try to download infinity warfare it keeps saying. "Download canceled". can someone help orders someone know what to do?

I ended up doing that as I was a bit worried about the optical drive in my Xbox One x when it refused to play certain 4k Blue ray disks.

My old Xbox One X had issues with some UHD movies, so much so that I too bought a stand alone UHD Blue-ray player. Playback issues were (probably still are) common on the One X. I've never played a single Blu-ray, UHD Blu-ray or DVD in my Series X.

There really isn't any need to test all of the discs. Test a few. If the discs are in good clean order they would have played on another BD player.

When I've bought other games on my Xbox X console, other users that are logged in, can play it and all the add ons, even when I'm not logged in, but I have the console set as my home console.

I expected this to be the same way for this game. The game pass does not have the add ons, which is why I bought them.

When I buy a book, we can all read the copy in our home. Not at the same time, but I do not need to be at home for someone else to read it. Because I've bought it for unlimited use in our own home.
