I’ve bought a game for my son but on my email/account - how do I transfer??

I’m new to all of this so sorry for sounding like an absolute dimwit

At Xmas I bought a game from amazon. It came with a code which I easily added into Xbox to redeem

However, just bought a code through EA on my phone which was through my email etc. I have a order number but no redeem code. How do I download this to my sons Xbox??

I looked into refunding it and buying it again but didn’t want them to refuse a refund and then in theory own they game twice and pay double

When you buy it from Xbox, it's automatically redeemed on your account unless you choose the buy as gift option.

Hello Laura, all Xbox / Microsoft game codes come with 25 digits, if you redeemed the game on the wrong account unfortunately you will not be able to transfer the game or request a refund.

Sorry I should say that I haven’t redeemed it anywhere. I only have an order number when I go into the account

Oh rubbish. I bought it on mine because obviously my son doesn’t have his own means to make payment and just didn’t think.

I don’t have an account for gaming, I think it just reverted to my hotmail account when I went to buy it!!!!!!!

I’ll see if they’ll let me get a refund for being such an absolute tool.

So, next time I need to choose ‘buy as a gift’????
