  1. It's incredible how MS destroys the faith and trust of their most loyal fans.

Microsoft getting rid of XBL rewards program to have it become absorb by Microsoft Rewards is the biggest slap in the face I've experienced from a company in my life time. I've bought 4 XBs this gen, 1 XBX, 1 XBS and 2 XB1s. I have over 250 games in my digital
collection and was a very proud supporter up until I recieved this news. I feel like I've gone from hero to zero in a split second with MS. I was a 3x VIP who was very happy with the ever expanding XBL reward program and felt I had earned real value in my
status. It felt all the time and money i spent was regonized, appreciated and I was a valued customer. In just one email all that was shattered. MS has pludge a knife directly into the heart and soul of their most loyal and enthusiastic supporters and fan
    base.

I'm an experienced user with MS rewards and read most of the FAQ regarding the transition. I'm not impressed. How I'm realisticly going to respond to this in the long term, I'm not sure. Nevertheless, the only logical, immediate
response, is to communicate to them they've dealt a very serious blow to to this consumers trust in the MS brand and will leave a very nasty scar on it that will never go away. This is coming from a long time and well invested supporter. I've been an Xbot
ever since the first console, in the first year the original Xbox came out. This is beyond not simply being happy, rather it's tearing, ripping and throwing away apart of the very fabric which made our partnership special.

    :)

Xbox 720/Next Can Microsoft Win Back their Fans?

    @IceStorm III:

Maybe so, but they lost all the trust of their core fans that made the Xbox brand what it is today. That's going to wind up hurting them in the long run next generation.

Plus casuals aren't exactly the most loyal consumers.

  3. Console powering down while in "always on mode"

    hello again,

as it looks no one at MS have a clue or an idea how to solve the prob.

as it looks by my end after putting my trust at MS and being a loyale fan an costumer i find it as a disrespect of the clintes and i dont and cant understand why no one is responding from MS end.

hope that someone will come up with a solution A.S.A.P.

    Thx.

I hear ya. XBox Rewards was so good it really pushed me to buy more off the console as well as more digital. Now I see very little incentive to buy off XBox over my PS4 or Switch. I'd say this is going to cost Microsoft big, but I also know whoever made
this choice doesn't care about those loyal to the brand, and any real losses the company may have due to it.

  5. After digging deeper into their future plans to try and discover hints as to why they'd want to gut their loyal fan base like we were fish, I concluded they don't really need us or care about us if their master plans comes to fruition. It's clear, they
want to have netflix like services on every gaming system to reach a bigger audience. They look as minecraft as their case in point. Across every plateform they've sold 144 million copies. If they can replicate that kind of success with their other exclusives
or gaming service they no longer need a core group of supporters.

It's really sad witnessing MS making more of these major miss steps. They suffer from visions of grandour or grandioso. You know, they want to move out of being restricted to their own modest counsole base and trying everything under the sun besides what
people really want which is quality system seller exclusives. After reviewing their future plans, it's clear they want to become less impersonal with a fan base and more generical commercial across all gaming devices. Thus, it only makes sense they'd cut out
any and all speical ties they have with any sort of loyal fan base. It's like a family owned mom and paps quality resturant is turning what made them special into a franchise in attempts to carbon copy the sole of their services for a bigger payday.

This seems to be the same type of thinking they had when they blew the launch of Xbone although in a completely new manifestation. They want a break out success with gimmicks and with the least amount of work or investment possible.
They just can't be bothered with core fans anymore when they just want huge paydays via of mass appeal type services. Sorry core fans we no longer fit into their long term strategic goal. It seems were going to need to look else where for a more intimate relationship
with gaming companies. MS wants to be a cracker jack cookie cutter services. It was good while it lasted, i'll see you on the flip side MS.

  6. I definitely agree that may be a possibility. I know once this is implemented that my brand loyalty will likely shift to Switch, and/or PS4. I already own both consoles so its just a matter of shifting the bulk of my support to those 2. I'll likely keep
XBox Live as I do have friends that play, but beyond that I don't think I'll be renewing my Game Pass after it expires on the 2nd of next month. I have most the games on it and now that the gems/rewards are going for it I see little motivation to pay for it.

  7. Could not agree more. I too have invested VERY heavily in the Xbox ecosystem and part of the reason was that I enjoyed getting a little something back via Xbox Rewards. With over 630 games in my XB1 library to date, I've little incentive to subscribe to
Game Pass. The very idea that now I have to compile MS points, convert those to $5 Xbox gift cards, then spend BACK into a system that already worked perfectly to begin with? That's just stupid.

    So let's recap:

    Xbox Fitness: Discontinued

    Xbox One Kinect: Discontinued

    Project Spark: Discontinued

    Fable Legends: Cancelled

    Scalebound: Cancelled

    Xbox Live Rewards: Discontinued

    Did I miss anything?
